The Ems Birthday

Yesterday was Emmas 2nd birthday, she was so excited all day to open her presents. We invited a few people over and everyone had a blast. She got a princess outfit and a big purse that holds a little dog. She loves wearing the blue high heeled cinderella shoes and carrying her little dog around, its so cute! After her little party she was exhausted so we put her to bed and "Emmas" party went on throughout the night. I cant believe my little Ems is 2 years old already! Shes getting so big!
By the way, Nick passed the Exxon test!! I'm so glad he was finally able to reserve a spot and take it. I knew he'd do great but he was so nervous. There was about 300 people there to take the 3 hour test. Now we just have to wait and see what kind of positions Exxon has open and go from there.
P.S. Sorry to anyone who was bummed out that they weren't told about the party. It was just a kind of spur of the moment kind of thing and honestly, to be totally blunt, it was a party for a 2 year old... It isn't exactly a slammin party, ya know what I mean. We know you guys have more important things to do. It doesn't mean we don't care about you guys!

Louisiana

We finally made it back from Louisiana! It was such a long drive! We had a lot of fun though and it was great meeting my new family finally. We stayed down at Nicks uncle Tom's house down in Buras, which is at the very very bottom of Louisiana so we were surrounded by water. For the actual family reunion, a bunch of us drove 14 hours up to Missouri and had a HUGE dinner at a community center, I met the entire Lee side of the family, there are so many of them and they are all so nice! I love their LA accents! After the reunion, a bunch of us went up and floated 6 miles down the Meramec River. It was hilarious! Everyone tipped over in their canoes like 8 times and we lost so much stuff. I lost my shoes, Nick lost his wedding ring, everyone lost their sunglasses, and Nicks uncle Kelly lost the keys to his brand new Chrysler 300 (why he had his keys on the river, I dont know!) It was definitely a blast though still! Nick also took the Exxon Mobile test so we should find out sometime in the next few days wether he passed it or not, if he passed he'll be able to work for an Exxon platform in California when a position opens. Anyways, we're finally home and we made it just in time for Emmas 2nd birthday, we're having an awesome party for her tonight! It is SO good to be home! I missed everyone!

The New Toy

We finally sold our truck and since we had gotten ahead on most of our bills (I know mom! I know!), we decided we would get an air hockey table that we had been talking about getting for a long time. We saw it on craigslist for really cheap so we went to go check it out and ended up buying it. It is so much fun! Everyone gets so competitive and after every game, you get kind of exhausted because you get so into it that you get a little workout. Besides a few people around here who don't know how to lose gracefully, it's a lot of fun! So anyone up for getting a beatin' at air hockey, come on over!
P.s. Even if you don't like playing air hockey, it is definitely worth it to come out and see Dylans side burns!
